Grants to USA nonprofits in eligible southeastern states for programs related to health and human services, education, environment, and community and economic development. Eligible states include Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Grants are primarily made for project support, although the Foundation from time to time considers operating support proposals from organizations with budgets of less than $1 million.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Organizations must be classified as tax-exempt under section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service tax code.

No grants are made to individuals or for loans.

A minimum of three years must elapse between grant awards.

Proposals are due April 30, and grants are made in September.
