Request a Grant Writer

Grants ranging from $2,500 to $5,000 to Arkansas nonprofit organizations and public schools to provide financial literacy programming to students in grades 5-12. Programs must cover topics related to securities, investments, and the stock market. Funding may be used to purchase appropriate educational, resource, software materials and equipment.

The Commissioner will determine the grant award based on the merit of the program, other school resources, and the number of students educated.

Estimated Size of Grant:

The suggested grant request range is between $2,500 and $5,000 although grant proposals for more or less than the suggested range will be considered.

Term of Contract:

New grants are to be awarded for the 2017-2018 school year. Projects must be completed by March 30, 2018.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligible applicants are public schools and nonprofit groups (IRC ยง 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations) that provide investment education to students in grades 5 through 12.

Pre-Application Information:

The proposal due date is September 29, 2017.

The Grant Application Form and W-9 form may be mailed to the address below, faxed, or emailed.

Grant awards will be issued by November 15, 2017.
