Grants ranging from $5,000 to $30,000 to Michigan nonprofit organizations, IHEs, and municipalities to produce, present, and create arts and cultural projects. Projects should promote public engagement, excellence and diversity in art, lifelong arts learning, and the strengthening or livability of communities.

These projects connect communities with the world by exploring, sharing and supporting creative expression, and by doing so they promote the health and well-being of communities and citizens throughout the state.

For details on Grantee Responsibilities and Requirements, see the Guidelines:

Veterans Affairs:

The Council encourages organizations to provide veterans of all eras and all branches of the military with opportunities in the arts. Providing both a foundation for their work and freedom to pursue it as they see fit, is the best means to bringing quality work forward while maintaining assistance to veterans and artists.

-Artist fees directly related to the project
-Salaries or wages directly related to the project
-Space rental
-Marketing or promotional expenses directly related to the project
-Project supplies and materials, including performance, or other production costs
