Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $1,500 to South Carolina public schools to enhance arts and music programs, and to nonprofit organizations for staff professional development. For school grants, priority will be given to Title 1 schools. For nonprofits, applications will be considered for organizations with small operating budgets. The following two grants are available:

1) School Music and Arts Program Grants

The Hootie and the Blowfish Foundation is eager to support the Music and Arts programs in South Carolina’s publicly funded schools. Priority is given to schools with a Title 1 designation.

2) Professional Development and Training Grants

The Hootie and the Blowfish Foundation is eager to support the professional development and training needs of nonprofit organizations in South Carolina with an annual budget less than $750,000.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Applicants will receive a response within 45 days of application submission.
