Request a Grant Writer

Grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 to Delaware nonprofit organizations that provide direct services to those in need in the Georgetown and Millsboro communities. Funding is intended for programs that assist the disadvantaged and/or for community service endeavors. Past recipients have included youth programs, First State Community Action, Georgetown Boys and Girls Club, several school projects, and more.

The Community Grants Committee carefully reviews applications and approves three or more based on the funds available.

Grant requests typically range between $500 and $5,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Beneficiaries must be IRS-recognized tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations.

Grants are awarded to programs that serve the Georgetown and Millsboro areas.

Grants will not be awarded to or for:

- Individuals
- Political associations or candidates
- Organizations that provide funding to other organizations or agencies.
- Organizations that discriminate by race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, age religion, disability, or national origin
- Bricks and mortar and similar building/construction projects

Pre-Application Information:

The Rotary Club is currently awarding grants once a year. The application deadline is October 31st.

Grant applications are limited to two pages plus appropriate attachments. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

The Grants committee may recommend approval, defer or decline a proposal and/or suggest awarding an amount different from the original request based on the funds available. The Board of Directors will make final grant decisions.
