Grants of up to $5,000 to North Carolina nonprofit organizations in eligible regions for capacity building initiatives. Funding may be used for capacity-building activities such as staff or board training or program assessments that will enable recipient organizations to serve Greensboro communities more effectively.

In 2020, the program will focus on capacity building – providing grants to help organizations reach their missions more effectively.  For example:

  • One organization might request dollars for a training program for staff or the board;
  • Another organization’s needs might generate a grant request for strategic planning;
  • Two or more nonprofits might request funds jointly to support a restructuring effort to strategically align services or administrative functions; and
  • Other nonprofits might seek support for evaluating a program and assessing future options.
