Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation
Grants to USA nonprofit organizations in multiple states for hunger relief, nutrition, health, and disabilities programs in communities where the funding source has a business presence. The funding source has operations in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.
Applications are invited from nonprofits with missions that align with the following three priority areas:
-Food Security & Hunger Relief: Partnering with organizations that promote access to fresh, quality food sources and supplying food banks and food pantries
-Health Education & Nutrition: Partnering with organizations that promote programs fostering sound nutrition and healthy physical activity in children
-Disabilities & Health Concerns: Partnering with organizations that provide direct services and support that improve the quality of life for people living with disabilities and health concerns

All organizations funded by the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation must serve the community where Sprouts Farmers Market operates stores.

Nonprofit organizations must be able to provide their nonprofit status. Organizations are required to provide financial documents when submitting a funding request and we research organizations using GuideStar and other similar sites when considering a funding request
The Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation does not fund:
-Individuals or for-profit organizations
-Political organizations or activities
-Religious organizations for religious purposes
-Capital or building campaigns
-Meetings, conferences or workshops
-Sports teams or athletic competitions
-Other foundations or granting organizations
-Loans or investments
-Fundraising dinners, galas, and events. The Foundation generally does not sponsor these events because the sponsorship is not fully deductible and prefer that our funds go directly to program services rather than offsetting event expenses.
The 2017 Neighborhood Grant application will be available online from June 1 to July 31, 2017.
Grant applications will be notified of their application’s status in September.
