Grants to Oktibbeha County, Mississippi community organizations and individuals for arts programs serving local residents. Funding is intended to support projects that constitute public works of art, address community concerns, and provide art services to communities in need. Eligible artistic endeavors span the art disciplines, including visual arts, performing arts, arts education, and literary arts.

The Starkville Area Arts Council awards grants to organizations and individuals for artistic endeavors in Oktibbeha County. The organization or project must align with SAAC's mission to build a strong, creative, connected community through art.

For organizations with robust arts programming, SAAC will consider requests for general operating support.

The ongoing economic growth of Starkville, as well as the improvement of the quality of life for local residents is one of the most important missions of the Starkville Area Arts Council. Grants are awarded to teachers for classroom activities and to local community groups and individuals for various art related projects located in Oktibbeha County, Mississippi.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Most grant amounts are in the $500-1,000 range. Grant requests greater than $2,500 will not be considered.
