Grants of up to $10,000 to Oklahoma police and sheriffs' departments representing rural communities for the purchase of protective and concealable body armor. Applications are invited from local departments serving municipalities or counties with low populations.
Through this competitive grant process, the Foundation will equip rural Police Departments and Sheriffs' Offices with body armor provided by GALLS, the trusted leader in uniforms, equipment and tactical gear for police and public safety officers. Grant requests will be prepared in collaboration with a GALLS representative.

Grant requests may not exceed $10,000.
Applications are now being accepted from:
-Oklahoma Police Departments associated with municipalities of less than 50,000 residents
-Sheriffs' Departments serving counties of less than 150,000 residents.

Applications must be submitted through the online application system no later than 5:00 PM Central Time, Monday, July 31, 2017.
Grant recipients will work directly with the GALLS representative to place their order and arrange for each individual office to be custom fitted for the protective equipment. Invoices will be paid directly by Communities Foundation of Oklahoma.
