Grants ranging from $1,000 to $15,000 to Nevada nonprofit organizations for recurring programs and projects serving the Jewish community. This program seeks to build an inspired Jewish community of compassion, vision, and unity. Programs must relate to the focus areas of Jewish continuity and vibrancy, caring for the vulnerable, or Israel and global impact.
The grant size will be based upon:
-Program’s scope and scale
-Opportunities for collaboration with other organizations
-Extent to which the program is able to leverage additional funding sources
-Prospect for sustainability
Please be advised that all allocations requested for your project must be used for the direct program and its service-related cost.
Expectations of Grantees:
1. Each member of the Grantee Board of Directors’ individually makes a meaningful gift to the Campaign for Jewish Needs.
2. Volunteer support from grantee organizations in campaign related activities.
3. Grantee agrees to help promote and engage its organization’s members to support and contribute to the Campaign for Jewish Needs.

Grants will range from $1,000 to $15,000.
All ongoing projects and events which receive a grant must take place January 1 - December 31, 2018.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits with tax-exempt status that serve the Jewish community in the state of Nevada.
Nonprofits that have current Federation grants must be in compliance with the terms of those awards to be considered.
Applications must include a copy of the organization’s IRS determination letter indicating 501(c)(3) status.
Equipment, capital projects, including improvements, renovations, additions or any other “bricks and mortar” types of projects are not eligible for funding.
JN funds may not be used to fund any type of fundraising project or solicitation event.
Organizations that submit an application must be prepared to provide 20% matching funds for the implementation of any grant requested. (As an example: If an organization requests $2,000 from JN, that organization must be prepared to contribute $400 to the project.). Applications that show financial collaboration and a diversity of funding sources will be reviewed favorably.
Complete application and all required documents are due by email. Any RFP received after December 15, 2017 will not be considered for this round of funding. The e-mail date/time stamp will confirm it has been received on time.
