Grants of up to $5,000 to Reno, Nevada nonprofit arts and cultural organizations, public agencies, and qualified educational institutions to hold one-time events. Applicants must attend the December 5 or December 14 workshop prior to applying. Funding may be used for special performances, community festivals, exhibitions, concerts, and other events.

The events funded by City of Reno Arts & Culture Event Grants may be anywhere within the Reno city limits and must be free and open to the general public. Events should be designed to attract the maximum number of people, as appropriate for the event and site.

Funding: $5,000 maximum award

Term of Contract:

Event Grants must take place from July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Nonprofit organizations or public institutions under chapter 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code or qualified educational institutions may apply.

Grants will not be awarded to individuals.

Pre-proposal Conference:

Mandatory Grant Workshops: Mandatory in-person Grant Workshops will be held at McKinley Arts & Culture Center Boardroom on Tuesday, December 5 at 9:00 AM; and Thursday, December 14 at 3:00 PM.

Grants cannot be submitted or reviewed without attending the workshop.

Pre-Application Information:

A 10% cash match of requested funds is required.

Applicants may request an appointment with staff to review the application prior to submission during the week of January 8-11, 2-18.

Applications must be received by 5:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2018.
