Grants starting at $3,000 to Ohio nonprofits to enhance the lives of youth (up to age 18) in Lucas and Wood Counties. Requests will be considered for operating expenses related to existing programs or for expenses associated with the establishment of new programs. Preference will be given to programs serving youth in Waterville and the Anthony Wayne Local School District. Projects and organizations that benefit children with developmental disabilities or abused children are a particular priority of these funds.

The foundation will only consider requests that exceed $3,000.

Term of Contract:

Grant requests are generally funded for one year.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Proposals will only be considered from nonprofit, charitable organizations which have been designated as having tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code.

Applicant organizations must be located in or providing services for residents of Lucas or Wood County.

Requests for funds to produce films, videos or television programs will be considered a lower priority.

Areas generally not funded include individuals, computer hardware and software, vehicles, conferences, capital, and research.

Pre-Application Information:

The annual deadline for proposals is January 31, 2019. Proposals must be received by 11:59 pm of the application deadline in order to be considered for funding.

Prior to submitting a proposal, applicants are encouraged to call the Foundation. The Foundation's program staff is available to answer questions you may have regarding the grant application process.

Applicant organizations will be notified of the status of their request in March or April.

Expenses incurred by an applicant organization prior to award notification cannot be covered by Foundation funds.
