Grants of up to $35,000 to registered Manitoba charity organizations for unique, creative, and innovative pilot projects which create Jewish educational programs for both the Jewish and general communities. Applicants must notify their intent to apply before January 15, 2018. Eligible charity organizations must have prior experience in the area of proposal.

The goal of the Irma Penn Jewish Educational Grant Pilot Project will be to fund a project or projects that:

- Has/have a strong Jewish educational component;
- Is/are innovative, creative, new, bold and exciting;
- Will have a lasting impact on the Jewish and/or general community in Manitoba; and
- Has/have never been attempted before due to the unavailability of funding for such a venture.

The Jewish Foundation of Manitoba reserves the right to award funding to multiple applicants.

Estimated Size of Grant:

The Jewish Foundation of Manitoba’s total budget for the project is $35,000 (annually). Projects requesting less than $35,000 will also be considered.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The following criteria should be adhered to:

a) Only Jewish educational projects will be considered.
b) Only registered charities in Manitoba are eligible to apply for this funding.
c) Projects must benefit the Jewish community and/or the general community in Manitoba.

Only organizations with prior experience in the area of that being proposed should make submissions in response to this RFP.

Pre-Application Information:

The Request for Proposal timeline is as follows:

- Request for Proposal Issuance - July 4, 2017
- Notification of intent to apply - before January 15, 2018
- Proposal Deadline - prior to February 15, 2018
- Selection of Top Bidders / Notification to Unsuccessful Bidders - April 9, 2018
- Start of Negotiation - April 30, 2018
- Contract Award / Notification to Unsuccessful Bidders - May 15, 2018
