New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) - Wastewater Engineering Bureau (WWEB)
Award to a New Hampshire individual or group to recognize outstanding efforts to educate public audiences about wastewater-related issues. Outreach and education efforts include many formats, such as training programs, brochures, facility tours, YouTube videos, web sites, social media, banners, newspaper articles, public events, TV commercials, and other efforts that bring attention to improving wastewater operations, promoting water quality and/or benefits of biosolids.
The nomination or application should include a written description of the activities you wish to nominate, attaching additional sheets as necessary. NHDES WWEB will use the criteria below to evaluate all nominations.
-Message – What is the outreach message?
-Cause – Did the message bring awareness to a cause?
-Effort – What kind of effort did this involve in proportion to the resources available?
-Impact – Is this something that had a positive impact on the public?
-Uniqueness – Is this something new or that has not been tried before in New Hampshire?
-Replicability – Is this something that could be replicated by another community, company or group?
-Longevity – Is this a recurring continuous effort or a one-time event?

Nominations can be an individual or a group.
Individuals and groups may apply or be nominated.
NHDES WWEB will accept nominations until February 1, 2018.
The award will be presented at the New Hampshire Water Pollution Control Association Annual Trade Show in the Spring of 2018.
