Awards to Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia businesses and nonprofit organizations in eligible cities and counties for outstanding efforts to promote a meaningful and enjoyable work environment for employees. The award is intended to recognize the region's exceptional employers. Nominees must be based in Washington, D.C.; Alexandria and Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William Counties in Virginia; or Montgomery and Prince George's Counties in Maryland.
The Washington Business Journal is looking for companies and nonprofits that go beyond the norm to foster an enjoyable and meaningful work environment for their employees. Companies are judged based on the results of an employee survey, which evaluates:

All participants receive a free report showing how their company performed against the competition. Honored companies are feted at an awards celebration in May and will be profiled in Washington Business Journal.
All companies will also receive a detailed workplace audit report valued at $4,000 from Quantum Workplace, who administers the survey. Honored companies are granted permission to use the Best Places to Work logo in its employment ads, letterhead, business cards, website, etc., adding value to your reputation.
