Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) - Division of Local Government (DLG)
Grants to Colorado local units of government for community development projects. Eligible projects are those that either eliminate or prevent slums or blight, or benefit low- or moderate-income individuals. Applicants must conduct a public hearing prior to applying.
Eligible uses of funds include acquisition, engineering, design, construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation, or installation of public improvements or public facilities. Examples of projects include sewer and water systems, commercial streetscape improvements, community centers, food banks, shelters, and health clinics.

Entities eligible to apply for grants are limited to units of local governments, including counties. These entities may apply on behalf of nonprofits.
The application deadline for 2019 CDBG funding consideration is Friday, February 15, 2019.
Prior to submitting a CDBG application to the State, the City, Town, or County will conduct at least one public hearing to identify community development and housing needs, including the needs of low and moderate income persons, as well as other needs in the community that might be addressed through the CDBG program, and to review proposed CDBG activities and the past performance of the City, Town or County in carrying out its CDBG responsibilities.
