Grants of up to $500 to Colorado government agencies, organizations, businesses, law enforcement agencies, and coalitions to reduce alcohol-related traffic offenses and fatalities. Funding will support projects, programs, strategies, and services that are intended to promote responsible alcohol consumption.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Who's Eligible:
- Local law enforcement agencies
- Local government entities
- Community coalitions
- Community businesses
- For-profit and nonprofit agencies
- Other entities involved in traffic safety education and outreach

Examples of unallowable project costs include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Office furniture and fixtures
- Food and Beverages
- Routine roadway construction or maintenance
- Funds that supplant existing budgets

Federal regulations prohibit supplanting of funds. Examples of supplanting include: replacing routine and/or existing State or local expenditures with the use of Federal grant funds and/or using Federal grant funds for cost of activities that constitute general expenses required to carry out the overall responsibilities of state, local or federally recognized Indian tribal government.

Funds may not be used for any partisan political activity or for state lobbying.

CDOT funds grants on a cost-reimbursement basis only. CDOT will not make payments in advance or in anticipation of goods or services.

All reimbursements must be received within 45 days after the last day of the activity period. A narrative report must accompany all claims for costs. The report must be submitted with reimbursement after each event you participate in.
