Grants of up to $1,000 and grants ranging from $1,001 to $10,000 to Michigan nonprofit organizations, schools, faith-based organizations, and municipalities for community projects in Berrien County. Funding may be used to support programs in the areas of arts, children, youth leadership and development, seniors, community improvement and special needs, education, the environment, health, and youth leadership and development.

"For Good" Major grants from $1,001 and $10,000; "For Good" Minor grant up to $1,000

Term of Contract:

Project start dates should be at least 2 months after the application due date. For April application dates the project start date should be June 1 or after and for August it should be November 1 or after.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The grant opportunity is available to 501c3 nonprofit organizations, schools, religious organizations doing community work, and government organizations who are serving Berrien County, Michigan.

Pre-Application Information:

The application due date is February 25th. An organization may receive one "For Good" Grant per calendar year.

Applicants receive a confirmation email after submitting their form. Please review submittal instructions and contact the Foundation for any technical issues related to receipt of confirmation.

The Berrien Community Foundation considers grant applications on a bi-annual competitive grant cycle.

Applicants do not need to identify the area from which they are seeking funding. Grant applications will be assigned a review committee by BCF. For an organization's programming that falls outside of the fields of interest please email the Berrien Community Foundation.
