Scholarship of $1,000 to a USA college student who are passionate about video games as well as their own personal growth. Applications are accepted from students majoring in any field. High school students who are enrolled in college for the upcoming school year are also welcome to apply.

The Final Fantasy Fan Scholarship is a highly competitive award for high school and college students who enjoy the Final Fantasy game franchise.

Students applying must submit a brief essay explaining their relationship with Final Fantasy games and how it has made them a better student. In 5 paragraphs or less, you should share whatever you think will convey your appreciation for Final Fantasy games and how it has made you a better student or person overall. Include any lessons you have learned in any specific games, and the impact that they have had on your life. The application is simple and open-ended. This program is looking for students who express raw passion for gaming and being the best student, leader, and person you can be.

This scholarship is open to students studying in any field, as long as you are a passionate Final Fantasy gamer. You must be attending any level of college next calendar year. The criteria to win is the quality of your essay in communicating your love for Final Fantasy and personal growth.

Each winner will receive $1,000 to be used as a scholarship payable toward tuition or education-related expenses at winner’s school.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

This scholarship is open to students studying in any field, as long as you are a passionate Final Fantasy gamer. You must be attending any level of college next calendar year.

In order to be eligible, applicants must be (i) a student currently enrolled at an accredited college or university as of the date of entry; (ii) at least the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence; and (iii) a legal resident of the 50 United States, including Washington, D.C.

Participants must have a valid .edu email address to enter.

Employees of Sponsor and its parent and affiliate companies as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible.

Pre-Application Information:

To apply, submit an essay communicating your love for Final Fantasy and personal growth. Applications may be submitted through the online form.

The scholarship application period starts at 12:01 am United States Pacific Time on December 21st, 2017 and closes at 11:59 PM PT on December 15th, 2018.

Winner(s) will be selected by a random-chance drawing. The chances of winning depend upon the number of entries received. Sponsor will attempt to notify winner by direct mail, email, U.S. Mail at the address associated with a winner’s entry form, and/or by other means within approximately ten (10) days following the drawing.

The scholarship is awarded on December 20 of each year.
