Grants of $250 and grants of $500 to Florida and North Carolina nonprofit and faith-based organizations youth and healthcare education and awareness projects. The funding source encourages requests to fund an activity for an existing healthcare or youth ministry; or to establish a youth or healthcare awareness and education ministry.
The selection process will reflect several preferences. Though these are not requirements, extra points will be assessed to projects that:
A) Are collaborative, involving the coming together of people for planning and creating
B) Bring new learning into the congregation and community
C) Youth activities that are inclusive and relevant for today’s youth
D) Come from churches with fewer than one hundred members with limited resources
E) Have the potential to bring vital awareness to other worshiping communities
F) Have a plan for sharing the results of the project or activity to other faith-based organizations

Ministry Startup Grants are $500. Ministry Activity Grants are $250.
In unique and extenuating situations, a grantee can request an additional $100 via a supplemental funding request. Supplemental awards are based on availability of funding. Grantees should not consider this an automatic option to spend beyond the initial award amount.
Project activities can commence as of January 1st and end December 31st of the upcoming year (ex. Grant awarded in December 2018; project period will be January 1, 2019-December 31, 2019).
Funded project can take up to one year to complete.
Any 501(c)(3) church or faith-based organization with congregational members of 100 or fewer is eligible to apply. The grant team should consist of people with leadership roles directly related to the church/faith-based organization. This includes pastors, educators, church staff, etc. The team should include the senior pastor, even if s/he will not be directly involved with the preparation of the grant application.
Grants will be awarded to churches/faith-based organizations, not to specific individuals.
The following is not eligible for funding:
A) Compensation to staff or volunteers
B) Food in excess of 20% for startups; and 10% for ministry activities
C) Equipment, including computer devices
Applications must be received by 11:59 PM on Friday, August 31, 2018.
All grants will be awarded in December of the submission year.
Ladybug Giving will not be able to fund all proposals; nor will it be able to provide feedback on unfunded proposals. Proposals may be revised and submitted for consideration in a subsequent year.
