Grant of $20,000 to a Washington, DC nonprofit, neighborhood group, or school for projects and programs that benefit the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Funding is intended to support new and ongoing initiatives that positively impact the lives of residents in the community.

In general, the Foundation awards grants for projects with specific outcomes and projects with a broad reach in the Capitol Hill community.

Grants are made in the following areas:
- Children’s education – programs in schools as well as after-school tutoring and mentoring
- Social Services
- Arts, culture and recreation for children and adults
- Enhancement of the physical environment

The Capitol Hill Community Foundation awards grants to non-profit organizations, schools and other neighborhood groups in support of programs and projects that benefit residents of the Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Pre-Application Information:

The deadline for the letter application is Friday, October 26, 2018 at 5:00 pm.

This grant is awarded annually at the Capitol Hill Community Achievement Awards Dinner in April.
