Community Foundation of Snohomish County
Grants of up to $5,000 to Washington nonprofits, city and public agencies, and school districts to promote systemic and policy changes that encourage racial equity in Snohomish County. Funding is intended to improve social, health, economic, and racial outcomes. The committee is particularly interested in improving systems for people in underserved communities and in bolstering the capacity of organizations serving those communities.
The Foundation encourages public and private sector partnership for social change. Understanding that social problems are products of networks of cause and effect at a policy and structural level, the Foundation focuses on advancing systems change as the most effective way to achieve equity and opportunity.
For example, grants could support the following:
1. Internal training for boards and staff
2. Community engagement and outreach
3. Legal services
4. Policy analysis and development
5. Training and education
6. Collaboration and partnership efforts
7. Research and evaluation

School districts, nonprofits, cities and public agencies serving Snohomish County residents may apply. Capital expenses, direct services and programs are NOT considered for funding for this grant.
Notification: Agencies will be notified within 30 days of the committee decision.
