Grants of $5,000, $15,000, and $30,000 to King County, Washington artists and cultural organizations to facilitate collaborative partnerships with local arts agencies (LAAs). This partnership program was designed to help arts agencies expand their programming and positively impact communities. Funds are intended to creatively address the following challenges faced by cities throughout the County: housing, development, transportation, economic disparities, K-12 education, and homelessness.

Since 2005, the Site Specific program has funded artists presenting their work in non-traditional settings and in collaboration with the network of King County local arts agencies (LAAs). The program evolves regularly—this year, 4Culture is offering Site Specific Creative Consultancies, which will take a new approach toward fostering ongoing collaboration with LAAs.

King County is home to one of the fastest growing populations in the U.S., most notably in communities outside of Seattle. All cities are grappling with the challenges of development, housing, transportation, economic disparities, K-12 education, and homelessness, and LAAs are looking for opportunities to expand their programming and impact in meaningful ways. Creative Consultancies will enable King County cities to engage the talents of artists and creative thinkers in addressing some of these challenges.
