Awards to Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee chief financial officers in eligible locations to recognize outstanding performance in business management and leadership. Awards will be presented to leaders of public and private companies and nonprofit organizations, and to honor lifetime achievement. The nominee's company must be headquartered in the Memphis or Mid-South area.

A panel of independent judges will determine the winners based on outstanding performance for their companies during the fiscal or calendar last three years (2018, 2019, 2020) and 2021 projection. Criteria will include:

  • Financial management: Demonstrated contribution to the company's growth and/or profitability, best practices, complexity of transactions - with quantitative examples.
  • Company Leadership: Demonstrated team leadership and superior management
  • Strategic thinking: Ideas or initiatives that strengthened the company's strategic market position; success in overcoming business challenges or barriers.
  • Contributions outside the company: Nonprofit work, community involvement, etc. will also be considered.

Finalists will be featured in a special publication in the November 5th issue of the Memphis Business Journal.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The nominees must be a Chief Financial Officer or hold an equivalent position at a local company or organization.

Pre-Application Information:

The deadline to submit your nomination is Friday, July 30th.

Multiple nominations by a company for the same nominee are not needed.
