Grants to East Mississippi nonprofit organizations and government agencies in eligible counties for pet and animal welfare and safekeeping projects. Eligible organizations are located in the following counties: Lauderdale, Newton, Clarke, Neshoba, and Kemper. Special consideration is given to organizations with spay or neuter programs for rescued dogs and cats before being adopted.

This endowment was established to memorialize Lucky, who had been rescued as a small puppy and grew to become a beloved family pet. Lucky's Legacy Endowment will offer grants to organizations that support pet and animal safekeeping and welfare causes in East Mississippi.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The Community Foundation of East Mississippi is committed to supporting organizations located throughout the five-county East Mississippi region (Clarke, Kemper, Lauderdale, Neshoba and Newton counties).

Applicants must be tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, classified as “not a private foundation."

Governmental agencies and public charities may apply.

Deadline to Apply: June 30, 2019. Forms postmarked after June 30, 2019, or emailed after midnight June 30, 2019, will not be accepted.
