Description:

Request a Grant Writer

Grant to a California nonprofit to support efforts in the areas of conservation of land and ocean-based wildlife habitats and ecosystems of the state. Applicants must contact program staff prior to applying. Funding may also be used for clean-up efforts or the care of pets and wildlife during natural disasters.

The Jerry C. Dearing Family Foundation (JCDFF), a Houston, Texas-based family foundation established in 2009, is looking to give up to a one-time $250,000 grant to a California-based nonprofit actively engaged in the conservation of ocean and land-based wildlife habitats, which can also include clean-up efforts.

In addition, this RFP is also open to nonprofits serving animals (pets) and wildlife during natural disasters: hurricanes, wildfires, floods, mudslides, etc. This can include: evacuation efforts, search and rescue teams and other emergency services.

This is only a small list of examples and other environmental causes will be reviewed as well, as long as they support the wildlife and ecosystem of California.
