Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $2,000 to New York City K-12 public schools for projects to promote sustainability and zero waste initiatives. Eligible projects include, but are not limited to, virtual events, gardens, composting, neighborhood cleanup and beautification, recycling stations, and PPE. Grants must be used for green team expenses such as recycling and garden projects, t-shirts/uniforms, school sustainability events, virtual platform subscriptions, and eco-friendly giveaways.

Pre-Application Information:

Spring 2021 Green Team Grant Deadline: The Spring 2021 application is open now and is due April 9, 2021. Green Teams are highly encouraged to apply by March 19, 2021 as applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Grantees can only be funded once a school year.
