The Art of Yoga Project (AYP)
01/08/21 5:00 PM PST
In-kind training, resources, and consultation services to USA organizations to advance healing and empowerment for teenage girls. The goal of this opportunity is to expand a program that promotes self-respect, self-awareness, and self-control for its participants. Eligible applicants are those interested in implementing a yoga and creative arts curriculum to their population of marginalized teen girls.
The Art of Yoga Project is a leader in serving marginalized girls and gender-expansive youth with its model of trauma-informed yoga and creative expression. The Art of Yoga Project directly serves marginalized youth involved in the San Francisco Bay Area juvenile justice and behavioral health systems. The Project sends specially-trained yoga teachers and creative arts educators into juvenile detention centers and rehabilitation facilities to teach our proprietary, gender-responsive, mindfulness-based program to youth promoting self-awareness, self-respect, and self-control.
AYP is currently looking for organizations who are interested in taking its model beyond these borders to establish a presence in their community through the National Affiliate Program. AYP's vision is to make a very real impact on the country’s juvenile justice, education, and social service systems, by providing a new approach for the rehabilitation of at-risk, incarcerated, and exploited youth.
