The Jewish Education Project

Awards of $1,000 to New York educators in eligible locations to recognize creativity and excellence in Jewish education. Nominations are welcome for individuals who work with children, youth, and families in formal, informal, in-person, and online settings. Eligible nominees work in New York City, Westchester County, or Long Island.
The Jewish Education Project Robert M. Sherman Young Pioneers Award celebrates forward-thinking and innovative educators, age 40 and under, who demonstrate a personal and professional commitment to new ideas, and proven use of technology or other innovative approaches to inspire children, teens, and families.
This year, the award is celebrating those who have gone above and beyond for their communities during these challenging times, such as an educator who has used digital tools to reimagine their curricula, inspired youth to take action to promote racial justice in their community, or helped a child navigate mental health challenges.

Recipients and their organizations will receive:
- $1,000 Professional Development stipend for the award recipient
- Special opportunities to connect with other innovative Jewish educators throughout the year
- Public recognition at The Jewish Education Project Virtual Benefit and in promotional materials (Recipients will be featured in video profiles that will be shown at The Jewish Education Project Virtual Benefit and on social media platforms)
