Grants starting at $5,000 to Greater Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Israel, and International nonprofit organizations for capital projects to serve Jewish communities in eligible areas. Funding is intended to support new construction, the rehabilitation of existing services or construction, substantial expansion, new acquisitions, and the replacement or renovation of deteriorated capital assets. New and existing projects are eligible for consideration.

Capital need must be focused primarily on the Jewish community. Projects that enhance the quality of Jewish community life, link the Jewish community with its heritage, contribute to usable community infrastructure, or serve as a resource for children, youth, and adults are strongly encouraged.

Prioritized projects:
- Approximately 80% of the funds will be granted to agencies serving individuals in Greater Philadelphia. Jewish life and learning projects will be prioritized.
- Capital Projects related to security will be given priority during the 2019-2020 funding cycle.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Applicants are eligible for grants between $5,000 and $100,000, for a one-year grant; consideration will be given to larger requests.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grants are awarded to capital projects in the Greater Philadelphia area, including Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties, and in Israel and overseas.

Organizations in greater Philadelphia must have its own IRS 501(c)(3) tax exempt designation. Organizations in Israel must be a registered Amuta with Rasham Ha’amotot and maintain its Malkar status.

Pre-Application Information:

All proposals are due January 24, 2019, submitted via online application portal.

All applicants will be contacted no later than May 10, 2019 regarding the status of their proposal.
