Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $5,000 to Grays Harbor County, Washington organizations and school districts for small scale, immediate projects that address community needs. Priority is given to organizations that are planning to use grant funds immediately or within two months.

Funding requests may include small scale technology needs, items for shelters or housing programs, food purchases for feeding programs, educational supplies for early learning or schools, small renovation or improvement projects, and capacity building.

The Small Grants Program funds projects that address one or more of GHCF's Giving Priorities.

Giving Priorities are to:
- Establish Quality Education and Learning Opportunities for all ages
- Promote Health and Wellness
- Provide Broad Access to Arts, Culture, and History
- Help Meet the Basic Needs of Residents

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Small Grants are available to organizations throughout Grays Harbor County. Organizations and school districts are only eligible to apply for one small grant per year. Requests must be approved by school district officials.

Organizations awarded a Community Building Grant (CBG) are still eligible for a Small Grant as long as it is intended for a different project.

Funds cannot be used for fundraisers, endowments, re-granting programs, or scholarships.

Pre-Application Information:

Deadlines for small grant applications: January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and November 1st.
