Grants to Santa Barbara County, California small arts nonprofits and individual artists in eligible areas to help mitigate financial losses stemming from recent natural disasters. Applicants must show financial need, the scope of loss from the disaster(s), and their history of working in creative industries.

The goal of this grant program is to help artists and nonprofits in Santa Barbara County that were impacted by the Thomas Fire and/or 1/9 Debris Flow with basic and arts related needs.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Santa Barbara County artists and small nonprofits (with an annual budget less than $500,000) who have sustained economic losses as a result of the Thomas Fire and/or 1/9 Debris Flow are eligible to apply.

Eligible impacted areas of Santa Barbara County are Summerland, Carpinteria, Montecito, or Santa Barbara.

Not Eligible: Organizations without a 501(c)(3) determination letter; organizations with an annual operating budget greater than $500,000; organizations not located in Santa Barbara County; Santa Barbara based non-profits not located in an area directly impacted by the Thomas Fire and/or 1/9 Debris Flow. (Summerland, Carpineteria, Montecito, or Santa Barbara).

Pre-proposal Conference:

Technical grant application workshops will be available in both Carpinteria and Santa Barbara. Attendance is not required, but is recommended.
