Grants ranging from $1,000 to $3,500 to Alaska nonprofits, schools, tribes, faith-based organizations, and local government agencies for non-motorized trail construction and maintenance activities in the Anchorage Bowl. Funding is intended to support improvements to summer soft-surface trails and for construction activities that take place in the Anchorage Bowl, from Girdwood to Eklutna. Soft-surface trails are meant to include non-paved trails on public land used for non-motorized activities where maintenance is not generally funded through local, state, or federal budgets.

Individual grant amounts will be awarded from $1,000-$3,500 for a total of up to $7,000.
Eligibility is limited to 501(c)3 nonprofits, or equivalent, organizations located in the state of Alaska. Equivalent organizations may include tribes, schools, churches, local government agencies, and programs.
Grant applications must be submitted online by 5:00pm AKST on Thursday, April 18, 2019.
