If desired and appropriate to the scope of the project, you have up to two years to expend the $10,000 grant award. SMCF reserves the right to pay grant awards in installments.
Only 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations, tax supported or educational organizations (parks, libraries, schools) are eligible to submit a request for funding. However, other entities--private, for profit, faith-based, grassroots community organizations, service clubs, and similar--may partner with one or more eligible organizations to propose collaborative programs. For such programs, the eligible organization will act as fiscal agent for any funds awarded to the work of the collaborative project.
