Opportunity for Utah leaders of nonprofit organizations serving rural and underserved communities to participate in capacity building program and receive training, coaching, and funding to facilitate projects. A pre-screening application is required prior to submitting a full application.

In partnership with the Center for Community Development at American Express, the Community Foundation of Utah provides an intensive and immersive program allowing nonprofit executives to build skills in board governance, organizational finance, strategic management, cause marketing, and change leadership that will help take their organization to a new level.

Leaders from selected agencies will receive three and a half days of in-classroom training in Salt Lake City. Following the training, the cohort will develop plans for a significant project or capacity building activity at their organization and the IIS facilitators will visit each organization to provide Board training. Each leader will be eligible to receive coaching and consultation on their plan and apply for a grant to support the implementation of their ideas. Finally, the cohort will report on the success of their efforts and the impact of this program.
