Grants of up to $1,000 to USA public libraries in multiple states to purchase high-quality and reliable printed consumer health materials. Eligible states include Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
The NNLM All of Us Consumer Health Collection Award supports the mission of the NNLM All of Us Community Engagement Network to:
- Help public libraries support the health information needs in their communities by providing National Library of Medicine and other quality health education resources to enable individuals to make informed decisions about their health.
- Increase public and participant awareness and understanding of the NIH All of Us Research Program using approved health literacy topics, programs, and materials in support of public libraries providing outreach to populations that meet the NIH Underrepresented in Biomedical Research (UBR) criteria as defined by the NIH All of Us Research Program.
Print materials are to be selected from a core list of consumer health resources reviewed and approved by the GMR. Awardees may use funds to purchase any titles from the list, not to exceed the award budget. The awardee is responsible for ordering, shipping, and submitting invoices for reimbursement. Labels with a funding statement will be sent to the awardee to attach to the print material.
