Grants of up to $500 to Virginia PreK-12 educators and parent organizations for agricultural education projects. Funding is intended to help students gain an appreciation for where food comes from. Projects may take place inside the classroom or during home learning time. Grant projects may address topics such as learning gardens, STEM integration, or providing unique agriculture experiences for students.

Students must be directly engaged in the educational component. Special consideration will be given to applicants who incorporate Virginia Agriculture in the Classroom materials into their projects.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet at least one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Teacher or administrator of any Virginia PK-12 schools, public or private.
- Teacher or administrator of a before/after school program, including daycares.
- 4H and/or FFA clubs are eligible when applying for a project that will serve the general school population.
- PTAs or other parent organizations may apply when the project will directly engage students.
- Homeschooling parents are encouraged to pool with others when applying.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications are due by October 15, 2021. Applicants may apply by the early decision deadline of August 20 to receive expedited notification.

All applications completed by August 20 will be notified of their acceptance status by September 10. Other applicants will be notified of their acceptance status in writing by November 15.

Only one grant application per school and/or organization may be submitted per grant cycle.
