Award of $5,000 to a USA, Canada, or International researcher for advanced work in the study of lupus. The award is granted to a basic or clinical investigator who has a body of work over at least 15 years which advances the understanding of the diagnosis, treatment, epidemiology, pathophysiology, or etiology of lupus.

The winner will receive a personal award in the amount of $5,000 USD. He or she will also be honored during the Lupus Foundation of America’s Evelyn V. Hess Awards Reception at the 2019 American College of Rheumatology Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, and will have the opportunity to give a brief acceptance speech.
