Grants to USA, Canada, and Europe nonprofit organizations in eligible regions to maintain, restore, build, and provide access to recreational public lands, parks, beaches, and coastal areas. Funding is intended to support US projects with a national scope, projects in Germany, the United Kingdom, and British Columbia, or locally-based projects in the following states: Arizona, Georgia, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Utah, Virginia, and Washington, DC. US national grantees are organizations that cover broad geographic regions covering at least five states.

Submitted proposals must fit into one of the following categories – New Parks, Park Access/Education or Park Maintenance/Restoration. Funding is intended to support the development, maintenance and accessibility of public green spaces so people everywhere can live healthier, happier and more fulfilled lives.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Regionally focused non-profit or equivalent organizations in the U.S. and Canada from the eligible states/provinces for this grant round can apply for $10,000- $15,000 USD.

Nationally focused non-profit or equivalent organizations in the U.S. (activities in five states or more) can apply for between $30,000 - 50,000 USD, if programs have broad geographical activities and impacts.

European charitable organizations with direct staff and programing in the United Kingdom, Germany, can apply for up to $25,000 USD.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Parks For All applications are being accepted from 501(c)(3) non-profit or equivalent organizations in North America (United States and Canada) and Europe (United Kingdom and Germany).

Regional non-profits that received funding in 2019 are not eligible to reapply in this grant round.

Types of projects not eligible:

- Organizations without 501(c)(3) status or without a qualified 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor.
- Programs that are not aligned with one of the three Parks for All project categories.
- Programs that don’t actively connect people to outdoor spaces and/or recreation.
- Projects focused on research, white papers, and conferences.
- Endowment or capital fund campaigns.
- Land acquisitions or conservation easements.
- Wildlife (flora or fauna) conservation focused projects.

Pre-Application Information:

Project timeline:

- September 6, 2019 at 5:00 pm PT - Deadline for online application
- October 31, 2019 - Grant notifications sent to applicants
- January – December 2020 - Grant activation and activities
- January 31, 2021 - Complete project and submit online final report
