Grants to Oregon nonprofit organizations, government agencies, community service providers, and special districts for capital projects that benefit local communities in eligible regions. Funding is intended for capital investments in the areas of infrastructure, economic development, and quality of life. This program should benefit the residents of Gilliam County.

Allowable grant fund uses include:

  •  Certain Equipment Purchases
  •  Supplies and materials
  •  Contractor Costs

Estimated Size of Grant:

The Capital Investment Grant program funds requests above $20,000.

Term of Contract:

All grant funds should be claimed and/or expended in the fiscal year in which they were awarded.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible to apply for this grant funding the applicant must operate and/or provide services within Gilliam County, and be one of the following:

- Non-Profit Organization
- Community Service Provider
- Government Agency
- Special Districts

Ineligible entities include:

- For-Profit Businesses
- Faith Based Organizations

Pre-Application Information:

-The Spring Cycle application deadline is March 6, 2020 at 5:00 pm.
-The Fall Cycle application deadline is September 25, 2020 at 5:00 pm.

Applications which request the County to provide the entire cost of a project will not be considered. Applications which demonstrate a higher percentage of funding from other sources will be ranked higher in the review process. Applications must show a minimum of 35% match funding from other sources. Match can be in the form of cash or in-kind contributions.

Grants may be provided on a reimbursement basis.
