Grants of up to $5,000 to Connecticut nonprofit organizations that work with children in eligible cities to provide training for staff members. Funding is intended to train organization staff on how to properly and effectively assist children who have experienced trauma. Training will be conducted by a professional trainer in the field and will include a series of trainings rather than a one-time event.
The Fund for Greater Hartford invites organizations that work directly with children to develop trauma-informed practices in their workplace.
The Fund will consider applications from organizations and collaborations supporting children from communities listed in Grant Coverage Areas below with priority emphasis on Hartford, New Britain and Middletown.
