Grants to Washington eligible nonprofit arts organizations to provide support for general operations. Funding is intended for arts organizations that provide professional artists with services, including workshops, networking, technical assistance, training, conferences, and other professional development opportunities.

Funding is available for either regional or statewide arts service organizations.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Regional Arts Service Organizations may request up to $8,000. Statewide Arts Service Organizations may request up to $25,000.

Term of Contract:

Eligible funding period: July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021.

- Statewide Arts Service Organizations

Regional and Statewide ASOs must have:
- current state nonprofit incorporation status
- current federal tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
- a minimum of two years in continuous operation as a non-profit arts organization
- a minimum two-year history of ongoing arts services
- a minimum of one paid staff that works 20 paid hours per week or more
- a board of directors
- a board-approved annual year-end operating budget that reflects actuals that include program expenses

Pre-Application Information:

The program opens on January 6, 2020.

Application Deadline: February 24, 2019. Applications are accepted through ZoomGrants until 5:00 p.m. on the deadline date.

ArtsWA grants require 1:1 matching funds.

Funding requests cannot exceed 25% of the average of your last two board-approved, year-end budget, fiscal revenues.

All applicants must provide a DUNS (Data Universal Numbering System).

The grant is payable when the grantee's services have been delivered. In most cases, this will be at the end of the organization's fiscal year.
