Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $500 to California organizations and residents in eligible locations to address urgent needs due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Funding is intended to provide financial assistance to local residents and organizations who have been disproportionately impacted by coronavirus and the economic consequences of this crisis. This grant is open to members of the South Lake Tahoe community.

Consideration for funding will be given to individuals and organizations with proven needs in the following categories:

  • Seniors needing assistance due to home isolation
  • Vulnerable populations needing assistance due to home isolation
  • Food Insecurity
  • Medical supplies
  • First responders and front line healthcare workers
  • Emergent needs

Estimated Size of Grant:

Due to financial constraints and to serve as many individuals and organizations as possible, the maximum grant awarded will be $500.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Consideration for funding will be given to individuals and organizations of South Lake Tahoe community.

Grants will be limited to one per household.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications will close Wednesday, June 3rd at 5 pm PDT.

Whenever possible, grants will be awarded in the form of gift cards for the purchase of essential supplies (grocery or drug store), or through direct payment to the approved service provider (utility company, childcare provider, etc.).
