Grants to Washington nonprofit organizations in eligible regions to address critical needs in the community in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The purpose of funding is to provide urgent and necessary services to local communities, both now and after the crisis has passed. Eligible organizations must be registered in the State of Washington and serve Benton or Franklin Counties or the Burbank, WA area.

The fund has been established with the following priorities:

  • First priority - organizations that provide critical services in the areas of food insecurity, housing, health, child care, and mental health who are seeing an increase in demand for their services due to COVID-19
  • Second priority - organizations who have experienced signifigant loss in revenue due to COVID-19 which has impacted their ability to deliver programs and services

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Any nonprofit organization having recognition as a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code may apply for a grant through the Foundation. Applicants must be registered in the State of Washington and serve Benton or Franklin Counties or the Burbank, WA area.

Three Rivers Community Foundation does not fund the following:
- Debt retirement/reduction
- Capital campaigns - including staffing for campaigns as well as bricks and mortar
- Capital expenditures for real estate or building construction
- Endowments
- Feasibility projects
- Individuals
- Political or lobbying activities
- Religious purposes (organizations with religious affiliations will be considered for grants only if their activities address the needs of the wider community without regard to religious belief)

Pre-Application Information:

Accepting Submissions from 04/10/2020 to 06/30/2020.

Grants will be made based on the amount of money raised in the fund, and will be available on a rolling basis so long as funds are available.

The 3RCF Board of Directors will make decisions on a rolling basis beginning the end of April.

Only one application will be accepted from each organization; however, more than one request may be included within the application, but the organization must prioritize which need is most worthy of 3RCF support.
