Grants to New Mexico and Texas nonprofit organizations, schools, and government agencies in the funding source's service area to address challenges related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) health crisis. Funding is intended to benefit local rural communities. Applicants must reside within the geographical boundaries of LCEC’s service territory, which is in areas of Southeastern New Mexico and West Texas in portions of six (6) counties: Chaves, Eddy, and Lea counties in New Mexico; and Cochran, Gaines, and Yoakum counties in Texas.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Organizations must reside within the geographical boundaries of LCEC’s service territory.

Proof of the nonprofit organization’s 501(c)(3) status must be provided with the application. Select organizations that are not designated a 501(c)(3) are also eligible. These organizations include schools and government organizations such as counties or municipalities and their agencies or departments, as long as the donation serves a public purpose and is consistent with the purpose and guidelines of the Sharing Success program.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications with the required documentation must be received by end of business day on Friday, May 28, 2021.

Winners of the LCEC applications will be notified via email.

Matching funds are contingent upon availability (even after LCEC selects winners) of matching funds from CoBank.
