Grants to North Carolina county law enforcement agencies to address needs related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Funding is intended for equipment, supplies, and activities to address the medical concerns of inmates in detention centers and local jails. The goal of the program is to assist local units of government in preventing, preparing for, and responding to the health crisis.
Allowable projects and purchases include, but are not limited to, equipment (including law enforcement and medical personal protective equipment), supplies (such as gloves, masks, sanitizer), and addressing the medical needs of inmates in local jails and detention centers.

Grant projects may have a start date of March 1, 2020 but will need to have an end date of June 30, 2021. Items purchased beginning March 1 may be reimbursable, but only if the proper documentation and proof is submitted.
