Grants to Wisconsin nonprofit organizations, agencies, and IHEs collaborating with individual researchers for projects that advance health equity. Applicants must submit an LOI prior to submitting a full proposal. Funding is intended to support collaborative activities that inform health-based policies and practices.
Successful applicant teams will provide a clear and compelling plan for how research and new knowledge will be developed and shared to inform policy and practice and advance health equity. Applicable population and community health studies may focus on conducting high-quality, relevant research or evaluation to inform future policy or practice changes and/or actively applying knowledge generated from previous research through authentic engagement and active dissemination to inform current policy or practice.

Successful applicants will demonstrate alignment with AHW focus areas of improving heart health, supporting healthy minds, and dismantling cancer, and will be led by a primary community partner organization and include an MCW School of Medicine academic partner.

Project funding will begin July 1, 2022. Projects must be complete within an 18-month period.
