Grants of $10,000 to California, Florida, Minnesota, Texas, Washington, and Washington, DC small businesses owned by people of color in eligible locations to promote equality and justice in the aftermath of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis and recent civil unrest. Funding is intended to fight injustice and inequality against any race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, or ability. This program is available in the following locations: Houston, TX (Harris and Fort Bend Counties); Miami, FL (Miami-Dade and Broward Counties); Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington Counties); Oakland, CA (City of Oakland); Seattle, WA (King and Pierce Counties); and Washington, D.C. (Wards 1-8).

The Investment Fund is the latest extension of Comcast RISE, the multi-year, multi-faceted initiative launched in October 2020 that initially focused on Black-owned small businesses and then extended to small businesses owned by people of color, including Black, Indigenous, Hispanic, and Asian American owners, among others, to help those hardest hit by COVID-19.
Applications are evaluated based on the impact from COVID-19 and the recent civil unrest to the business, their families and their communities. Comcast is also taking into consideration how the business was able to pivot and continue forward, and how they were able to bring the communities up around them.
