Grants to Washington businesses, universities, research institutions, local health jurisdictions, and tribal entities for research related to the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Funding is intended to support studies that focus on the effects of the pandemic on outcomes, risks, and well-being of cancer patients. Applicants must apply under one of two tracks: Basic/clinical research or population-based research.

Up to approximately $100,000 per grant award. Promising projects may be awarded more than $100,000, at the CARE Fund Board’s discretion.
Project support is for up to one year. The earliest project start date is March 15, 2021.
