Grants to USA medical and health professional schools, healthcare institutions, medical education companies, and associations for educational activities related to prostate cancer. Funding is intended to support projects that explore biological and other mechanisms, in order to enhance knowledge of how targeted therapy may be used to treat the disease. Preference will be shown to projects that focus on PARP-inhibitor combinations with androgen receptor targeted therapies.

Pfizer Global Medical Grants recognizes knowledge exchange as an important component of the continuing education continuum and offers support for programs through independent medical education grants. An independent medical education grant is a type of grant which consists of Pfizer funding for independent medical education activities or initiatives which serve to maintain, develop, or increase the knowledge, skills, and/or professional performance of a healthcare professional (e.g. continuing medical education, continuing health education, continuing education). These activities or initiatives may or may not be accredited.

Projects for the Independent Medical Education Grant - PARP-inhibitor Combination Treatments in Prostate Cancer that will be considered for Pfizer support will focus on:

  • Increasing the understanding of the mechanism of action, biological and clinical rationale for PARP-inhibitor combinations as potential treatments for prostate cancer.
  • The evolving paradigm of the potential treatment of mCRPC with future PARP inhibitor combinations.

Pfzier is especially interested in funding projects that spotlight educational content in meaningfully innovative ways using multimodal communications and message delivery platforms.
